Here is the quantity of food you’ll need to prepare eight 2 serving meals or four family slow cooker freezer meals.
10 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast
4 cups Soy Sauce
4 cups Brown Sugar
4 tablespoons of Ground Ginger
2 Large Onions
6 Chopped Green Peppers
Corn Starch on cooking day (8 Tablespoons in total)
Each Freezer Bag
Write the Recipe name/date on the front of eight quart or four gallon freezer bags.
Into each quart bag, place the following:
1 1/4 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast
1/2 cup Soy Sauce
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 tablespoons of Ground Ginger
1/4 Large Onion, cut
3/4 cup chopped Green Peppers
OR, in each gallon bag:
2 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast
1 cup Soy Sauce
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoons of Ground Ginger
1/2 Large Onion, cut
1 1/2 cups chopped Green Peppers
Removed excess air and seal your freezer bags. Place in your freezer until needed.
The night before you need your slow cooker freezer meal just set one or more freezer bag(s) in the refrigerator to defrost.
The following morning just dump the entire bag contents of the bag(s) into a slow cooker. Cook on high for 4-hours or on low for up to 8-hours. Slow cooker times may vary.
About 30-minutes or so before your meal is done pull out around a half-cup of the Chicken Teriyaki broth. Whisk the broth and 1 Tablespoons of corn starch in separate small bowl then pour back in slow cooker. This will thicken the sauce for your meal.
Serve Teriyaki Mushrooms with this for the vegetarians
