6 slices bread
3 T Butter, margarine or garlic butter
6 eggs
Butter. Margarine or cooking spray
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional extras:
6 T shredded Parmesan cheese
2 T fresh chopped chives
Preheat oven to 400° F.
Use a narrow glass or a biscuit cutter to make holes in the middle of each slice of bread. Butter bread and holes with Butter.
Place bread and holes on a greased sheet pan.
Crack an egg into each of the holes.
Salt and pepper the egg to taste. Optionally, you can sprinkle 1 Tablespoon of Parmesan cheese over each slice.
Bake at 400° for 3-6 minutes, depending on how runny you want the yolk.
Garnish with fresh chopped chives if desired. Serve immediately.
