1 onion, diced

1 Tab. Italian seasoning
1 1.2 Tab. tomato paste
1 carton chicken or vegetable broth
1 can drained and rinsed kidney beans
1 quart tomatoes
1 can cannellini beans
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper to taste
1 can spinach
2 cups dry pasta
garlic powder
onion powder
cayenne, optional
sugar, optional
Parmesan cheese, for garnish
Cook onion in oil until translucent. Add Italian seasoning and tomato paste. Add 1 cup of broth and stir thoroughly. Add in kidney beans, tomatoes, cannellini beans and the rest of the broth. Add the rest of the ingredients, one at a time, stirring in between. Boil until pasta is cooked. Serve with parmesan cheese.
